Cititrust FInancial Services Plc, a subsidiary of CITITRUST Holdings Plc, a Pan African Investment
Holding Company, has launched a wholly-owned and new Investment/ Asset
Management Company subsidiary, CITITRUST Asset Management following the receipt
of approval from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for the firm to provide
Portfolio Management to corporations and institutional investors as well as Wealth
Management, structured investments and other financial advisory services.
The unveiling and remarkable feat is announced in pursuant of the Fund/ Portfolio
Manager License granted to Cititrust Asset Management Limited on August 31, 2020 in
terms of the Investment & Securities Act (ISA) No. 29 of 2007 to conduct capital market
transactions.
The Country Chief Executive of Cititrust FInancial Services Plc., Mr. Ikechukwu Peter said “The launch
of the Asset Management business ties in with our plan to become a dominant player in

TERMS AND CONDITION
These Terms and Conditions apply to and regulate the provision of services and operation of accounts of and on all CITITRUST Asset Management Limited (“CITITRUST AM”) Investment Management Accounts (“the Accounts”). These Terms and Conditions, together with any other Agreement or Opening Form set out the terms governing the relationship with CITITRUST AM
1. ACCOUNT OPPENING
A. The client has irrevocably requested and CITITRUST AM has agreed to open an Account on behalf of the client.
B. In opening an Account with CITITRUST AM, the Client agree to provide true, accurate,
current and complete information about the Client as indicated in the opening form. If any
information provided is untrue, inaccurate, not current or incomplete, or CITITRUST AM has
a reasonable ground to suspect that such information is untrue, inaccurate, not current, or incomplete, CITITRUST AM has the right to request for more details or not to process the
Client application or open the Account.
C. The Client further agree that the Account opening will be subject to the CITITRUST AM's
processes, KYC and reviews which may require the Client to provide further confirmation or documents.
D. CITITRUST AM reserves the right to accept or reject the Client's application and not open
an Account for the Client.
2. ACCOUNT OPERATION
A. The Client agree that the operation of the Account is subject to compliance with and by
CITITRUST AM with all laws, regulations, administrative rules and orders which may from time
to time be authorized by the relevant and regulatory authorities in Nigeria.
B. The Client further agree and take full responsibility for the safe custody of all print and
electronic correspondence issued to/or by CITITRUST AM regarding the Account.
C. The details or mode of operation of the Account shall not be disclosed to any third party.The Client agrees to immediately notify CITITRUST AM whenever he/she knows or has any reason to suspect that an unauthorized person has access to or is likely to have had access to any print or electronic correspondence issued to or by CITITRUST AM regarding the
Account.
10. FORCE MAJEURE
CITITRUST AM will not be liable for any failure to perform our obligations herein caused by reasons beyond its control or resulting directly or indirectly from the action or inaction of the government, any government authority, regulatory body, riot, strike, boycott, blockage, act of God, revolution, civil strike, change in legislation or extreme change in market conditions.
11. NOTICES
Parties may communicate with the other Party by sending notices, messages, alerts and statements in relation to this Agreement in the following manner: i. To the most recent physical address of the Party; or ii. By delivery to any email address provided during the Account opening and application process; or iii. By delivery of an SMS to any mobile telephone number the Client has provided to CITITRUST AM.
11. PERSONAL DATA
Personal data is all information that directly or indirectly may refer to the Client which he/she have provided to CITITRUST AM in the course of this Agreement. Such includes Contact information [name, title, address, email address, mobile phone number etc, Date of birth, Employment information [name, address, phone number and email address of employee], Financial information [information about the Client's income and any charges, where available].Protecting the Client's privacy is very important to us. We, where necessary, will process the Client personal data in order to provide a simplified Service and in order to simplify the process. We will process the personal data for confirming the Client identity, administering the customer relationship, preventing misuse or improper use of our Service, for the prevention of money laundering, customer analysis, assessment, risk analysis and management, business development, for commercial and marketing purposes and for complying with applicable laws.
Kubi Momoh is the Chief Risk Officer for Nova Merchant Bank, Ltd.
Prior to this up till June 2019, Kubi Momoh was the Chief Risk Officer, UBA Africa with coverage including Compliance, IT, Market and Operational Risk in addition to Credit Risk Management.
Kubi Momoh spent 3 years from 2013 – 2016 in Keystone Bank Ltd, as the Chief Risk Officer. her stint in Keystone Bank came after a previous span of several years with United Bank for Africa, Plc in various capacities in Group Risk as well as Group Treasury and Group Balance Sheet Management. Prior to her tenure in UBA, she spent 15 years in Citibank Nigeria covering Operations, Trade and Risk Management.
She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting alongside a Certified Professional qualifications in Accountancy (ACA).
She is a Certified Risk Manager.Ikechukwu has leveraged on his experience as a mainstream banker for over 14years.This has also facilitated the development of his core competencies around retail and commercial banking, Credit risk management, corporate finance and Loan Monitoring and Collections.
Ikechukwu, a seasoned and a passionate professional had a brief stint with McNichol’s plc at the beginning of his career, after which he moved on to Standard Chartered Bank Limited as a Sales Executive where he served in their Wealth management unit of the Consumer Banking Division of the Bank. His outstanding success in Standard Chartered Bank launched him into years of heightened banking experience with the erstwhile Bank PHB and Keystone Bank Limited. While in Keystone Bank, he served under several units of the Bank in furtherance of his result-oriented pursuit as a Banker.
He is an Economist by training and he holds an MBA in Financial Management with the Aldersgate University, Philippines.
A Fellow of the Institute of Supervision and Leadership and the Chartered Institute of Management and Leadership respectively, Ikechukwu is passionate and unreservedly committed to the promotion of Best Practices within the Business Space. Adelaja Adekunle is a Consummate Investment Banking Professional and Asset Manager with over fifteen (15) years post qualification experience. He is a business leader, financial and risk management specialist; an astute credit manager; regulatory compliance expert; fund and portfolio manager; strategist; chartered accountant and banker.
He is registered with Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) as a Sponsored Individual and Capital Market Professional.
He is an Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA), Associate Chartered Institute of Bankers (ACIB), Associate Compliance Institute of Nigeria (ACIN), Associate Member Nigerian Institute of Management (AMNIM, Chartered) and also an Associate of the Institute of Certified Cost Management (ACCM).
He started his banking career in January 2002 with Union Bank Plc before moving to Capital Bank International (Credit Lyonnais) in July 2003.
He joined the Reconciliation and Internal Control Team of Access Bank Plc in October 2005.
In September 2007, he joined Intercontinental Bank Plc where he worked in various departments from Internal Control, Credit Control and Monitoring, Credit Analysis, Remedial Management, before moving back to Access Bank Plc in February 2012 as Team Lead, Credit Analysis, Monitoring and Remedial Management within the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Division of the Bank.
He joined the Executive Management Team of AIICO Capital in July 2013 as the Financial Controller (FC); where he was part of the team that sponsored and secured Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) registration for an authorized mutual fund scheme known as AIICO Money Market Fund (AMMF) which was offered and officially opened to the public on 19 June 2014 with Fund size of over N2 billion.
Asides from being an authorized signatory to the fund, he also held various functions and responsibilities while managing an Asset under Management (AuM) of over N80 billion.
He joined Coronation Merchant Bank Group in August 2016 as the Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) – Asset Management saddled with the responsibility of registering and securing an Operating License from Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for the Asset Management Subsidiary Business. He successful obtained regulatory license for the Company as well as secured SEC approvals and licenses for three (3) flagship funds (Coronation Money Market Fund, Coronation Fixed Income Fund and Coronation Balanced Fund respectively).
Adelaja joined VFD Group Plc as the Group Head (GH), Risk Management & Compliance in April 2019 with oversight functions over all the Group’s subsidiaries and Portfolio Companies. He also sat on the executive management team of the Asset Management Subsidiary and assisted the Portfolio Company obtain regulatory approval from SEC for three (3) mutual funds products (Anchoria Money Market Fund - AMMF, Anchoria Fixed Income Fund-AFIF and Anchoria Equity Fund – AEF).
He was also the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the FINTECH Portfolio Company, XERDE LIMITED, and he held other strategic management positions within the Group.
